Hot Mikado

One of my favorite parts ever…creating the role of Katisha in David Bell production of “Hot Mikado” with Rob Bowman, at Ford’s Theatre. Aside from awards, honors, performing at The White House, and stuff like that, I fell in love with Ford’s Theatre, Founding Producing Artistic Director, Frankie Hewitt…all over again. She mentored me as I took my turn as producing artistic director for California’s Oakland Ensemble Theatre, and I miss her to this day. I’m so blessed by the people who saw something in me and generously shared their time, talent and wisdom with me. It’s the sorta stuff I couldn’t possibly learn in grad school.
